This happens to be Shraddha's fifth horror film, and ironically, she's scared of horror stories. "If we happen to shoot in Mukesh Mills post 6 p.m., I think I won't be able to do it. I'm so weak and vulnerable that I feel I might get possessed."Also starring Sachiin Joshi and Kainat Arora, the film also features former Indian pacer S. Sreesanth in an important role.

Shoots and releases of films have been put on hold with stars heading back to their homes to wait for the day when it’ll be safe to shoot again. Sharddha Das recently took to social media to lash out at those taking advantage of the recent relaxations the government has provided, despite the 7 PM curfew still holding, and put up a series of posts.
Talking about how there’ll be no point in sitting at home for so long if everyone does as they please again, she wrote, “No point of sitting at home for so many days…there is literally traffic here in Andheri west…how are people so brave to go out without a Mask and maintain no Social Distancing. I’m dreading the official end of the lockdown now!” (sic)
She also reinstated that at some point citizens need to start being responsible for their own health and added, “You cannot keep blaming the system..your health is your own responsibility after a point..!!” (sic) She compared those who were roaming outside without fear of the world to school kids. “If there is no teacher or monitor they will chill and not follow any rules. I am so angry.” (sic)
She even urged caution and to understand how cases have grown since lockdown has been implemented. “The lockdown was implemented when there were hardly any cases and now it is above lakhs and people are acting so carelessly,” (sic) she wrote, adding, “Making me so angry…what a waste that responsible citizens abided by all the rules and sat at home for so many days!!” (sic)The actress revealed that she received messages from many telling her that some of them are returning to work, as it’s allowed now, and others are stepping out for essentials. “I am angry about the privileged people only who are out there for non-essential things, not for work and for a drive or a walk,” (sic) she wrote, adding, “I see people above 50 and 60 for sure out there exercising on the
“Over time, the language precincts have reduced enormously and it’s great for actors who get to choose to work across regions. Working across the region is a bit more challenging as I have to work hard on my dialogues and pronunciations, as my language is Hindi but at the end of the day, it’s all about cinema. Also, the team helps Hindi actors a lot to polish the lingo and simultaneously work on our body language,” says the Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Zid and Babumoshai Bandookbaaz actor.
Das has already done 40 films across languages with Telugu more in number. She says, “I started my filmy journey down South with Siddu from… and then Arya 2 starring Allu Arjun followed by many more films before Hindi film Lahore.”
After her studies, Das had started a career as a singer and remembers legendary filmmaker Dev Anand had cast her for the film Beauty Queen which never got made as he passed away before that.
Talking about the different work patterns followed by the various film industries, she says, “There is no major difference, though down South the projects are wrapped up much faster. I have also completed films in less than a week. Many a time, projects ki editing Wahi shoot par Chal Rahi Hoti hai. But eventually, all of us are working for one ultimate goal that is our love of cinema.”
Bengali beauty Shraddha Das who has become a household name in the South almost regularly shares her sizzling pictures on social media. Be it western, traditional saree, or even a bikini; she looks drop-dead gorgeous in any attire. Recently, the actress who was last seen in the Bengali film ‘Panther’opposite Jeet shared a monochrome saree picture on her Instagram handle and it went viral within moments.
In an eventful career spanning for over a decade, Shraddha has played both the leading lady and supporting roles in critically acclaimed films across several languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, and Telugu. With no godfather in the industry or a modeling background, she worked her way up in the glamour arena slowly.
South and Bollywood actress Sharddha Das celebrates her birthday today and fans of the pretty actress are wishing her on social media with cute messages. From calling her sexy to terming her uber stylish, the actress received all types of messages. But what makes her fans call her in such fashion? We dived into her Instagram page and found pictures that really prove that she is a sassy and cheeky girl. From chic looks to traditional wear, Shraddha aces any look with utmost ease. Fans are complimenting her with all the adjectives that suit her aptly and these photos are proof. Check them out here
Shraddha Das has been part of some exciting projects in Telugu and Hindi. The actress will next be seen in director Praveen Sattaru’s actioner PSV Garuda Vega in a crucial role. “I play a journalist in this film and she is always game to bring a lot of things to light and takes a lot of risks with her life. I speak in a very different tone like Arnab Goswami (laughs). It’s not that my role was modeled after him, but the tone with which he presents himself has excited Praveen, who decided to incorporate it into the film.”
Not many know that Shraddha holds a degree in journalism. “Pursuing that course helped me to get the rhythm right. I’m not familiar with Telugu and I worked really hard to get the accent right. There was no teleprompter and I had to say the dialogues on my own. So, I memorized the lines. Adding to that, there were many little things like the way you look at the screen, how you sit and dress to be taken care of.”
In spite of working with Praveen in Guntur Talkies, she had to audition for Garuda Vega. “Praveen literally put me on my toes. There was no one to talk to me in Telugu, and being a perfectionist, Praveen always insists on a single take. So, he sent me two monologues and I auditioned on my phone and sent the video across to him. Being a North Indian, it takes a lot of effort for me to speak pure Telugu as a few words look like tongue twisters (laughs).”
Shraddha wants to try her hand at dubbing. “The team helped me with the language and performance. I have no qualms about dubbing for myself, but only if Praveen is convinced.”
The actress is excited for her next Hindi film, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz wherein she will be seen as a struggling B-grade Bhojpuri actress, who also has a part-time business. “This role is important in changing Nawazudding Siddiqui's life in the film. The look is garish in the sense that she wears a lot of fake brands, eyelashes, and bright makeup. She is a brave girl and doesn’t have any inhibitions. I have one lovemaking scene in the film but it doesn’t look vulgar at any point. I really enjoyed working on this role as it was complicated, demanding, and challenging. I feel one needs roles like that which proves you are an actor,” says Shraddha.
Talking about working with Nawazuddin, she adds, “I was nervous to work with a star like him. Although he is not intimidating, I couldn’t sleep for two nights out of anxiety. When I went to the sets, I was shivering and my director made me comfortable. After two-three days, my fear went off. I would love to work with him again and again.”
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had ordered 48 cuts for Babumoshai. Reacting to the controversy, Shraddha explains, “After the film was given an ‘A’ certificate, I have no clue why they insisted on 48 cuts. You can’t control children from watching a film in a theatre. A person can decide if he/she wants to come to the theater. There is no censorship on Netflix or on the internet. If that’s the case, then why do you try to regulate and cut down everything here? In Babumoshai, all the characters are from UP and you can’t expect them to speak good English, refrain from using abusive language and doing Goondagiri.”
The actress regrets working in glamourous and insignificant roles in her initial days. “In the beginning, I didn’t have a choice and I did what came my way. I used to be sad and unsatisfied when I came back home as I couldn’t contribute much to those films. Despite being a popular actress, initially, I didn’t feel content at all.”
She says she used to wonder if it would make difference at all if the makers removed her portions from such films. “Lately, I realized that I don’t want to take up such roles and go through trauma. Now, I’m in a comfortable space. Hence, I want to be choosy and act in films that have a substantial role for me.”The 30-year-old actress is also part of filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming production venture Mirchi Malini. “It’s a one-hour short film and will be aired either in September or October. I play a journalist again in that,” signs off Shraddha
