Seeing the ring, her fans had showered her with questions about her relationship status. She had finally shared with ETimes TV that she is not engaged, and she has just endorsed a brand.

Talking about her relationship status, she said, “I am single and have been for a long time. The pandemic has not been a great time to be single (laughs). But honestly, the last year has taught me to be grateful for a lot of things. I had posted a picture of a ring and people assumed I was engaged. But I was just endorsing a brand. Yes, I do want to find a life partner and get married. The search for a companion is not on the back burner, but I haven’t found anyone.”

The actress was seen getting engaged to Alam Makkar in the show  Nach Baliye 9, but she later confessed that it was all just a part of the show. She said they were just seeing if things work out between them. She revealed that she had not even met his family or seen his house, but too much was read into the situation.

Shraddha shared that she was busy shooting for south films for the last few years, but presently she is enjoying the track of her daily soap. She said, “This is a great time to be part of showbiz. Age is no longer a factor and people are playing lead roles at any age now. Now, an actress can choose when she wants to choose a project or take a break and not worry about age coming in the way. Whether it is web, TV, or films, content is getting exciting for actors and I am happy about it. I did a few south films, but currently, my show has found a connection with audiences, so there is no other place I would like to be.”

Delhi on November 16. In a recent interview, the Kundali Bhagya star has dismissed the belief that it was a whirlwind romance and marriage, revealing that they were dating for almost a year before they decided to tie the knot.

Shraddha also spilled the beans on her love story and shared how she fell in love with the man in uniform, and how their feelings for each other grew in a long-distance relationship. She said, “We met a year ago through common friends and hit it off well. At that time, he was based in Mumbai but we used to meet each occasionally because we both had hectic schedules. But we realized that this was more than friendship when he was later posted in another city. The long distance made us realize what we felt for each other. That’s when we decided to take our relationship to the next level.”

Shraddha says her husband, Rahul was the one who initiated the wedding topic and broached the topic with her parents. She said, “Rahul is a very mature and responsible person and so he spoke to his parents about me. Rahul’s father is a retired colonel. His parents, who are based in Delhi, met my parents and we both agreed to get married soon. It was a quick wedding because everything fell into place in a short period of time and there was no reason to wait. We got engaged on November 13 and then the wedding followed on November 16.”

Shraddha and Rahul intend to continue the long-distance relationship for now. The actor says, “If given an opportunity, I would run to him and spend quality time with him. But I love the fact that for my husband, the country comes first and he has to attend to his work. At the same time, he also understands my work commitments and respects that. So, till my show is on, I will take these short holidays to visit him and once the show is over, we will mutually decide how to take this forward because I would love to be with him.”

On this Shraddha said, “My husband will need approvals and permission before we can plan a trip. We had both wanted to go to Europe but it doesn’t seem possible because there are restrictions imposed in many countries right now due to the pandemic.”

We decided to get married just last month. I had no idea I would tie the knot so soon. I was dating Commander Rahul Nagal for almost a year but we had not thought of marriage. I also believe in being discreet and not talking about my personal life, till something concrete is happening.

I just finished with the page Phera ceremony and making halwa ritual in Delhi and I was overwhelmed with the way his family treated me. It reminded me every second that I am a happily married woman. But, now that I am back in Mumbai and resumed work, I feel that nothing much has changed except the fact that marriage has added some more dollops of happiness to my life. My wedding was a beautiful event and my sister Divya and friend Neha Adhvik Mahajan helped me a lot with my clothes and styling.

So, as of now, we haven’t decided on a destination. But I must say that I am happy and look forward to this new chapter in my life.
