Shailesh Lodha who plays the role of Taarak Mehta revealed to Dainik Bhaskar that there has been no quarrel between him and Dilip Joshi. He said, “I laugh at this kind of rumour. Don’t know who spreads these rumours. Believe me, our relationship is stronger than our reel-life friendship.” He even recalled that they talk for a long time even after finishing their shoot on the set. “People on the set call us ‘Best Buddy’,” he added.
Moreover, the 51-year-old actor also said that he considers Dilip Joshi as a brother and he respects him. Both share a great bond onscreen as well as off-screen. They even have a lot of fun on the set while working on the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
Meanwhile, Palak Sidhwani, who plays the role of Bhide in the popular sitcom, revealed her father’s first reaction to joining the show. Talking to Telly Chakkar, she said, “My father turned towards me and asked me if I have bagged a job at their office as he was unaware of my passion for acting. All three of us smiled at his question and explained to him that I’ll be seen in the show as Sonu Bhide. My father was a bit shocked and deep within the thought that probably it is some sort of a prank or it won’t materialise. It is only when he saw me on Television sets that he came to terms that his daughter is now a part of the most popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.”
The upcoming episode of the entertainment shows will be graced by poets like Sanjay Jhala, Mumtaz Naseem, Meeruthi, and actor Shailesh Lodha. However, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor is getting trolled for gracing the sets as he earlier criticized the show.
The promos are shared by the channel on social media. Internet users couldn't help but wonder how Shailesh could appear on a show which he once condemned. An old video where he had done so is also doing the rounds on social media.
In the video, Shailesh is seen saying, "Main kuch karyakram dekhta hun toh mujhe sharam aati hai. Ek aisi dadi jo har vyakti ko choomna chahti hai, ek aisi bua jo shaadi ke liye betaab hai, ek pati jo apni patni ko prataadit karta hai. Main uss karyakram mein kaam karta hu jismein ek beta haar baat pe apne baap ke paon chuta hai."
In the comments section, several users pulled him up for his hypocrisy. One user wrote, "Shailesh Ji yea kya Kiya Aapne, Jis show bare main Itna Kuch bol dia, ab us show main AAP Chale Gaye (What have you done, Shailesh Ji. You have appeared on the same show against which you spoke ill once)."
Another wrote, "Shailesh Lodha Kese Agaya is show par yeh to about brain Karta the Iss show ki paisa ache ko Badal data hai (How did Shailesh appear on this show he spoke so much against it...money changes everyone).
The clip is from a Kavi Sammelan that happened a few years ago. In the video shared by an internet user, Shailesh can be heard saying, "Mai Kuch Karyakram Dekhta hu to Mujhe Sharam Aati hai. Eak dadi jo har vyakti ko chumna chahti hai, ek aisi bua jo shadi ke liye betab hai, eak pati jo apni patni ko pratarit karta hai.
