The meet is a popular show on television screens that has been getting the attention of the audience with its refreshing storyline. The show presents the story of Meet Hooda (Ashi Singh), who mirrors several women across the nation that are fighting societal norms of gender roles regarding work and responsibilities. It is seen that Meet Hood gets married to Meet Ahlawat (Shagun Pandey). As per reports, the actor Shagun Pandey got hurt recently during the shoot of the show. But he got his hand bandaged and got back on the show.

During a sequence, a centerpiece with a sharp edge fell on the actor's hand by mistake and he got a deep cut. In fact, he had to get 6 stitches on his hand for the same. While everyone on the set was shocked, Shagun was back on the set in no time for the shoot.

Talking about his injury, Shagun said, “Injury and I go hand-in-hand always. I must mention that I have got injured in almost all my projects. I get hurt sometimes while performing stunts or while doing an action scene, but Rab di Badi Meher Rahi hai that I have always come out of it. When I got injured on the sets of Meet, I immediately knew the cut was very deep and hence, I went to the hospital immediately. The injury has been very painful, but I was back on the set right from the hospital to resume work as I don't want such small things to impact the bigger things in life. I must add that the production team has been very helpful, and they even asked me to rest at home, but I wanted to work so that I could distract myself from this pain.” 

He further added, “I honestly feel all these incidents define your character, and how you overcome it is what matters the most. You will come across such situations in life a lot of times, but today if you make excuses and sit at home, it will not lead you anywhere in life. I feel my determination towards my work will take me ahead in life.”

In an unfortunate incident, Meet show lead actor Shagun Pandey injured himself during the shoot recently. The news was reported by The Times of India and it also mentions that the actor was rushed to hospital as the cut was very deep. He sustained a gash and was given six stitches. Well, the show has been getting a good response from the audience because of its storyline. The lead actress role is played by Ashi Singh. Viewers are liking their chemistry.

Coming back to his accident, Shagun was quoted as saying to TOI, “I was shooting a scene and didn’t realize that when a centerpiece with sharp edges fell on my hand. I was injured. The cut was deep to the extent that it almost touched the finger bones. I have got and was forced to take anesthesia. I wanted to get back to shoot immediately after the formalities were completed. The doctors have advised me to be very careful. I can’t work out in the gym and can’t even fold my fingers.”

He further adds, “I am managing the shoot with utmost care. The production house is taking good care, too.”

The show is directed by Vaibhav Vanshraj Singh. It is based on the popular Bengali TV show Bokul Kotha. The story revolves around a girl named Meet, who is a spirited young tomboyish girl from Haryana and is the sole breadwinner of her family, but also breaks societal rule books of gender roles by serving as a delivery agent.

"I love the short film genre. It allows you to explore so much as an actor in a short period of time. This was my first attempt to do a short film and my director Pradip Khairwar convinced me to take this up. I first met him when I was shooting a music video for Guru Randhawa. Pradeep sir was there in the creative team. He asked me for my time and then I got busy with 'Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye', my TV show. Somehow, I managed the time and we shot in Shimla for two days and wrapped this up," he told IANS.

The film also stars Aalisha Panwar. Talking about the equation he shares with her, Shagun says: "Aalisha is a very happy and energetic personality and so am I, and our director. I have always believed that genuine emotions always get portrayed on screen. Aalisha and I are both from Chandigarh and I used to work as a coordinator so I have taken her auditions in the past. We knew each other since then."

In a recent chat with the Times of India, Shagun revealed that he wants to take a chance to do some new and interesting projects. He also expressed his desire to do another reality show, and that is none other than Bigg Boss. Yes, Shagun has previously done Spiltsvilla and now is eyeing Bigg Boss. He said that he is looking forward to doing Bigg Boss this year, and if he is successful in cracking it, he will put in the same efforts for Bigg Boss 14 that he has for Tujhe Hai Raabta. 

When asked if he has started preparing himself for the upcoming season of the controversial show, i.e. Bigg Bos 14, the handsome actor confirmed in an affirmative. He shared that he is watching episodes of the previous seasons and taking tips from there. Shagun also revealed that he is constantly in touch with Bigg Boss 9 winner Prince Narula and discussing his plans with him. 

Revealing details of his preparations for BB 14, Shagun shared, 'I am mentally preparing myself and doing my homework. I have just understood what are the key features for survival in the house. How do you need to function and sustain in the house and win the show eventually? I don’t want to go there, stay for some time, gain popularity and come back. I want to go there and do something nice. I am watching the previous seasons and discussing them with Prince (Narula) at times. Prince is like my brother.'

And while the audience has been loving the storyline of Tujhse Hai Raabta, the family drama will see a change in the cast now as Shagun Pandey has walked out of the show. To note, Shagun was seen playing the role of antagonist Atharva Bapart in Tujhe Hai Raabta. The handsome hunk confirmed the news on social media with a special video.

He shared a video of himself from Tujhse Hai Raabta sets and announced his exit from the family drama. Expressing his gratitude towards fans for showering immense love on him, Shagun asserted that the hope his character of Atharva did entertain the viewers.

Shagun also asserted that walking out of Tujhse Hai Raabta has been quite difficult for him as he has been associated with the show for two years. However, he feels that his character had reached a saturation point. “Quitting is quite a harsh term, let’s put it as my track has ended in the show, which can be temporary. I believe Atharva has been utilized enough in the show. I started the show as an innocent guy then regressed to become the negative character post which I got to play a five-year-old child to playing the rarest of the rare roles of a transgender. What more can Atharva do? I can't be doing monotonous character just because I want to earn. It has been two years of my association with the show and anything more from Atharva's end would bore the audience. Having said that, the production house has not ended the chapter, the doors have been kept open and they would call me whenever they require Atharva and I’ll love to come back to the show if I won’t be bound by commitments,” Shagun was quoted saying to Telly Chakkar.

Calling his journey on Tujhse Hai Raabta an enriching experience, Shagun also asserted that there is a possibility of Atharva’s return in another wicked avatar.

While the young actor’s sudden exit from the show has left his fans heartbroken, his co-star Reem Shaikh also got emotional with the news. She shared a picture of herself hugging Shagun on Instagram and thanked him for adding new energy to the show. Calling Shagun her best buddy, Reem asserted that nobody could pull off the role better than him.
