Nikki Tamboli has been ruling the internet since her entry, into the reality show, Bigg Boss 14. The actress was later seen in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, hosted by Rohit Shetty. The actress enjoys a massive fan following on social media owing to her vivacious personality and her gorgeous looks. The actress recently opened up about facing rejections in her life and career in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla. She also revealed that she had auditioned for the popular show, Splitsvilla.

On being asked about facing rejections in her acting career, Nikki Tamboli shared that she was rejected at the auditions of the entertainment reality show Splitsvilla. She shared, “At the audition for Spiltsvilla I was given a script in which I had to give a monologue on the situation where someone has spit on your foot.”

She added, “The people who take auditions for the show are not the ones who run Splitsvilla. They are some casting guys, some random guys who are made to sit and take your audition for timepass.”

On being asked if the reality show is scripted, Nikki Tamboli shared, “No, they are not scripted because I also did Bigg Boss and if it was scripted, I would not have received so much love as I was not Colors channel's face. That shows it was not scripted.”

Nikki Tamboli was last seen in the entertainment show  The Khatra Khatra Show, in which she was seen performing fun tasks along with other contestants. Nikki Tamboli has also appeared in some music videos like Dil Kisi Se, Behri Duniya, and others.

Nikki Tamboli recently returned to India after an extensive shoot of the stunt-based show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, in South Africa. This was the second show of the actress for Colors TV after rising to fame from the Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss. Nikki informs that it was a fun experience shooting for the show abroad under the supervision of Rohit Shetty, however, the stunts also left her tired.

“It was a lot of fun,” she exclaims adding further, “I made a lot of new friends, be it humans or animals. It was a first-time experience and I never thought of making it to this show. I love it. The days were stressful due to the stunts, in fact, I was very scared to be on the show. It ended up being a fantastic experience.”  Apart from Nikki, her Bigg Boss colleague Rahul Vaidya was also a part of this stunt-based reality show, which goes on air soon.

Talking about the host, Rohit Shetty, Nikki says, “He is just fabulous. He kept all the contestants motivated and asked her to not worry. He is a fun company to be around.” Over the years, there have been conversations about the reality of these reality shows. Nikki insists that she prefers to be true to her personality in reality shows. “I don’t know about others, but for me, it’s important to be real on a reality show. The audience today is very sharp. I was the second runner-up on Bigg Boss because I was really on the show,” she smiles and is quick to add, “Almost everyone is real, but there are some who are fake too.”

In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla recently, Nikki Tamboli opened up about being ill-treated by a filmmaker once. “I remember one of my films from South, and the director was too bad with me. Not in some other sense, but he was not treating me right on the set. Jo mere co dancers the Na, he was appreciating them more than me. He was literally saying, ‘Kahan Se Gayi hai yaar yeh’,” recalls the actress.

When prodded further on why the director was doing that, Nikki responds, “I don’t know. Just because I couldn’t speak that language initially. He was the worst I should say. I would not name (him), but that was the worst experience. I would tell you, I have even cried after coming home, and my mom and dad are also aware of this. I was shooting abroad, and I was so tortured by that director, that I would come home and cry. But still, I didn’t give up because I knew that he would regret it, and he messaged me today too. Time change hota hai na har kisika.”

Meanwhile, Nikki says that she is working hard, and wants to become a top actress. “I am doing everything that is possible. I am getting trained, I am not wasting my time. If you want to achieve something, you will do it no matter what. If there is a will, there is a way. Tum usko avoid nai kar sakte. You know because I know what’s my plus point. Everyone knows their plus and minus points. So I am keeping my plus points on the side, and working on my minus points. Because I know when this minus becomes plus, it will make an impact, and I am happy that I am aware of that,” shares Nikki.

Nikki Tamboli went through a difficult time in 2021 as her brother passed away. The actress had a tough time dealing with the situation but she had kept a brave face. She often talks about her brother and considers him her pillar of strength. Today, 4 May, is the first death anniversary of her brother and she shared a heart-wrenching post about him and shared that she missed him.

Nikki Tamboli had shared a small video clip of her brother and captioned it, “The past year has been the longest, toughest and saddest 365 days for me as you were not by my side. May the afterlife be kind to you. I miss you so much, Little bro! 1 year has passed since you left, but my heart is still wounded for you. A year doesn’t seem like such a long time but without you here it has felt like an eternity. Time is supposed to be a healer but after a year it’s still as painful as the first day No matter what I do to move on from this pain, deep down inside I will always know that I’ll never get to hug you again. Brother, you taught me to be strong but sorry I’m letting you down. I can never be strong to accept that you are no longer here. A family will never get over losing their loved ones. It doesn't matter how long ago or how old the loved one was or how they died. The family lives with this pain every moment of their remaining lives. Goodbye dear brother you deserve eternal rest, You cared so much for one and all to have you I was blessed. 4.05.2021”.

The comedian is in her eighth month and is still working. She is hosting Hunarbaaz and The Khatra Khatra Show at present. Nikki Tamboli, who worked with her in her show has spoken about how she manages to work even during these days.

In an interview with Times Now Digital, Nikki said, "Bharti has been an inspiration for me for a long time. Not just for me but I think for everyone. I mean being pregnant for eight months and standing on her feet every day from morning to late at night. That's really fantastic. I think we all should give her a salute. Even after being so tired, she wakes up at 4 am, and 5 am and starts getting ready for work. No one has so much patience and hats off to her. "

Talking about The Khatra Khatra Show, this is the second season of the show. The comedy-game show began on March 13 and is written and produced by Haarsh. The show also has Farah Khan as the special host for the Friday episode while Bharti and Haarsh host for the rest of the days. Until now, celebrities like Karan Kundrra, Nishant Bhat, Pratik Sehajpal, Karan Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Umar Riaz, Rashami Desai, Prince Narula, Yuvika Chaudhary, Punit J Pathak, and others have been a part of the show. Bollywood stars like Jacqueline Fernandes and Parineeti Chopra have also been a part of the show.

In the recent promo of the entertainment-based show, host Bharti Singh is seen teasing Priyank Sharma regarding the upcoming task. She also teases him for promoting his song on the show as she says that he only came to promote his song while Shah Rukh Khan is such a big fan of the show that he came on a jetty under the scorching sunlight. She added that she offered him a separate seat but he said, “Mai aam Janta Mein see Nikla hu Unhi Ke beech Khada Rahunga.” Everyone is left in splits on hearing Bharti’s punch.

As per the sources of ETimes TV, the actress has been signed to make her debut in Bollywood with an actor who is known for his great acting abilities and has captured all genres of films. Apparently, the shoot has begun, and she is giving her best for every frame she is shooting for. Nikki has begun shooting and rehearsals are also going on simultaneously. The Bigg Boss 14 fame actress was a part of Rahul Vaidya’s team and Anushka Sen was in Shweta Tiwari’s team. They were tied to metal chains and the task was to get the keys from a closed box, which was full of reptiles and insects. But Nikki Tamboli got very scared and started crying. She aborted the task even before attempting it. On the other hand, Anushka Sen did a good job of completing the task. 

“The task in which I had to go underwater, and there were fish down there. I have major water phobia, and going underwater to that depth was nerve-wracking. I did try my best, and also Rohit sir was there throughout mentoring and supporting me. But when you are out there in that cold, with water that deep, and with reptiles down there - it’s really tough,” informs Nikki, who has found a friend in Arjun Bijlani, Sana Makbul, Aastha Gill, Varun Sood, and Vishal Aditya Singh. 

“Every evening we used to have a get-together, where we used to gossip and discuss things. I had such a blast with them,” she adds.  Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’s journey must have been difficult for Nikki, as she was also dealing with her brother’s loss. Talking about the same, Nikki says, “It was tough and I had emotional breakdowns so many times. I remember at night I used to call home to speak to my parents, and all they used to do was motivate me and push me to achieve it all. However, only the person who loses someone they love the most knows the hit of that loss. But I must say that everyone on the show was quite supportive and motivating towards me,” Nikki signs off.

The adventure-based reality shows Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 finally started on July 17. The first episode was very impressive as fans gave huge thumbs up. This year 13 celebrities have taken part in the show and it is being hosted by director Rohit Shetty. In the first week, actress and former Bigg Boss 14 contestant Nikki Tamboli has been eliminated from the show. She has penned down a long note on her official Instagram handle and said that the timing is wrong.

Taking to her official Instagram handle she shared an apology video and also wrote, “It’s as difficult to describe in words as it was to perform that difficult stunt out there. I know this came as a shock to all my fans and I too was disappointed about it but more than that I want to say sorry and thank you to Rohit sir that in spite of such motivation and mentoring I couldn’t make it and did abort the stunt.”

The weekend show will see celebrities including Arjun Bijlani, Rahul Vaidya, Divyanka Tripathi, Varun Sood, Anushka Sen, Abhinav Shukla, Vishal Aditya Singh, Maheck Chahal, Sourabh Raaj Jain, and Aastha Gill as contestants. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress has impressed the host and he has said that he sees her as the finalist.
