Jubin Nautiyal, who was in Hyderabad recently for a performance, is delighted to be able to get back on stage and entertain audiences again. “It has been a while since I’ve done it, so I got emotional before I took the stage. This is my first performance live during the pandemic and it was all the more special since I got to do it in Hyderabad. I wasn’t sure it would be the same as before COVID-19, we’ve all been through so much. But my audience was warmer than ever before, performing in Hyderabad was just beautiful,” he says.

The singer, who rose to fame in the Telugu states with  Telusa Telusa from Sarrainodu in 2016, says he’s looking forward to traveling across the country and doing more shows. “The pandemic has taught us to live one day at a time and that’s the mind space that I’m in right now. Having seen the love Hyderabadis have bestowed on me, I’m looking forward to doing more shows across the country,” he says.

Having visited the city of Nawabs after a while,  Jubin made sure he made the most of it. “I used to love roaming the city whenever I’d come here. I couldn’t do that this time around but I made sure to binge on some Hyderabadi biryani and Irani chai as soon as I landed here,” he says, adding, “Apart from the delicious food, I’m glad that the  South is also being recognized for its originality when it comes to music, movies, and writing.”

For the singer from Dehradun, singing in Telugu has been a challenge but he’s learned to embrace it. “When I started out, I thought I wouldn’t be able to sing a Telugu number. However, I decided to expand my horizon and sing many regional songs, be it sad, romantic, dance, or even folk bhajans in multiple languages, including Telugu. I write the Telugu sentences in English and then learn the meaning and this method works wonderfully well for me. I’ve recently also sung for Thaman with Shreya Ghoshal and I can’t wait for the audience to hear it,” he says, signing off.

The image that I have today is not something that I planned, I let my music drive me. I just believe in doing everything with honesty and passion. I believe that as an artist, I should have self-realization of which songs I can justify and which ones I can’t. So, while I do keep trying new styles and genres of music, I also critically judge my work and release the ones which I feel excited about, and keep working on the ones that still need work. For example, I never thought that I could sing a qawwali song, but Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra, composed beautifully by Rochak (Kohli)  Paji, turned out to be so successful. Had I not tried it and worked hard on it to expand my horizon, I would have lost a great song. So, as I said, I let my music drive my journey and build an image as close to what I am in reality.

My biggest achievement is that I have been successfully singing for Bollywood for the past seven years, since Ek Mulaqat ( Sonali Cable) in 2014, and have still maintained the freshness in my voice. I have always taken things slowly, I never wanted to run through my musical journey, I wanted to enjoy every step and challenge. I am not scared of being forgotten, because I work to express myself through my music. It’s more internal than external for an artiste. I believe in compassion, honesty, and love. I want my journey and my music to spread that message. So, when the going gets tough, I tell myself that I am like a spring, the more you push me down, the higher I shall jump back up. I am the master of my fate and I am the captain of my boat. While ups and downs are a part of everyone’s journey, how you face them makes you the person or artiste you are. I am somebody, who believes in taking rejections and turning them into blessings. My plan is not to try to stay relevant, my plan is to just make music that makes me happy, and the rest, my fans keep me relevant.

"It was a great opportunity for us to go to Kashmir and shoot the song, after everything that Kashmir has gone through over the last few years. We all know how beautiful the valley is and our team was safe and sound when we shot. We also released the song in Jammu, which is Samreen's hometown, in the presence of the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha. We are getting a lot of love from the valley," Jubin told IANS.

Samreen added, "Jammu is home and during the release of the song, we loved the huge support we got from our fans. My friends and family came together."The video also features IAS officer Abhishek Singh, who has served as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delhi. Sharing their experience of working with Abhishek, Samreen said: "Abhishek is a very warm-hearted person, and I knew him from before the shooting of this video. Even though he comes from a different background, he mingles with everyone nicely. As an actor he is amazing, his emotions are on point, and that we see in the video."Jubin added: "Even though he has the career of an IAS officer, he is chasing his dream of becoming an actor, it is not easy to live your dream but he is doing it. That is why I have high regard for him."

Singer  Jubin Nautiyal started his career as a contestant on the reality show, X-Factor India, in 2011 and made it to the top 25. Did you know that his audition for the show failed to impress one of the judges, singer  Sonu Nigam? Although Sonu rejected Jubin, he moved to the next stage of the competition after getting positive responses from the other two judges -- singer Shreya Ghoshal and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

At the X Factor India audition, Jubin sang Tujhe Bhula Diya and left the audience chanting ‘once more. Shreya told him that he had a ‘beautiful timbre of voice’ but needed to work on his singing quite a bit. Sanjay complimented his voice and personality before adding, “Overall, there is something there but there is something not there, I am a little unsure.”

Upon his turn, Sonu agreed with his co-judges and wanted to discuss with them. He then rejected Jubin, who told him, “I will try harder. Whatever you are saying, everything is right. Yeh Mera best Nahi that, Mujhko Pata hai (I know this was not my best).” Shreya voted yes, while Sanjay chose to go with the audience and did the same.

In an interview with Hindustan Times earlier this year, Jubin said that he has no plans of launching his own label in the near future but wants to use his social media presence to his advantage. “Later in life, I want to use my own fan base to release my music and do album work. That would be my next step. I want to work on my own digital presence,” he said.

We, as humans, tend to have this habit of walking down memory lane and remembering the good old days. Most of us must have come across this viral trend on the internet called 'in search of gold, we lost a diamond.' And it would amaze you to see how perfectly it fits into the entertainment world. Many artists try their luck in Bollywood or TV and often face rejection. But despite facing rejections in reality TV shows, artists such as Sanya Malhotra, Kapil Sharma, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, and Jubin Nautiyal, have risen from the ashes like a phoenix and become popular stars in the industry. Take a look.

In the Janmashtami special episode on Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, contestant Himani Bundela was in for a big surprise! During her conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan, the visually impaired, young, teacher from Agra mentioned her liking for music. She also shared that her favorite singer was Jubin Nautiyal. The singer is currently winning hearts with his voice in songs like Tujhe Kitna, Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra, and many more.

Amitabh Bachchan then surprised Himani by making a call to Jubin Nautiyal. Himani couldn't believe that her dream came true and was over the moon after talking to Jubin. The singer even sang his song Humnava Mere for the KBC contestant.

The year 2021 was remarkable for singer Jubin Nautiyal. He lent his voice to many songs, two of which went on to become huge hits - Lut Gaye and Raataan Lambiyan. While Lut Gaye became the fastest song to reach 1 billion views, Raatan Lambiyan has garnered about 500 million views on YouTube. What is also interesting is the fact that, despite being referred to as the 'King of Romance' when it comes to songs, Jubin is still single.

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Jubin bares it all out! The ace singer finally revealed why, despite all the romance surrounding him, he’s still single! He also spoke about the popularity his songs are receiving, how he felt about getting in touch with content creator Kirk (an African native from Tanzania who has been making reels on Jubin’s songs), his record-topping songs, and, much more.

Honestly, I did not really think too much about the song. I am a big fan of Nusrat Saab and getting to do one of his songs which I have loved for so long, was in itself a big kick for me. And so, I think who Maine Sirf hidden S e Gaya Kyunki for the love of Nusrat Saab and for the love of a great song like that. Tanishk had composed it and produced it beautifully and how the song goes into, is beautiful. The best thing is I was in a great place when I dubbed it, the mountains. It itself brings a lot of freshness to one’s mind, work and creativity.

We recorded the Shershaah songs in 2018. The project kept getting shifted and then it was released. When I heard the mix close to the release, I was happy and overwhelmed because the sound was very different from what I heard after a long time. We did a lot of different songs and suddenly a different sound was coming. I knew the song is going to go places. I told the makers it was very risky to release films that year and music and all, but somehow, I was confident about that song. I knew it would work and it did, big time.

I think my good luck is keeping me safe from getting hitched. I don’t think any girl can stay with me right now. The kind of schedule and the kind of life I am living. It demands more than 24 hours and I just have 24. And I am just still hoping with the recordings and concerts we have to play, I think lockdown opened in a very big way for us. Completely undivided attention is required for this job. A lot of people are banking on me doing the job right so that everybody can do their job right. So, I don’t want to let anybody down here and not because of a girl.

Yes man, wow! Imagine the power of music. I think music is the only language in the world that doesn’t need a language. It has no language barriers although it is done in different languages since it is a sound. Language is secondary, sound is more important. I got in touch with them. They are good people with good energy. That guy lip-syncs with such love and compassion. It is amazing to watch him. In fact, I am a fan of his. They both were very excited when I reached out to them.
