Guru Randhawa developed an interest in music from the young age of 7. He started singing from a young age and after obtaining his management degree from IIPM Delhi, he decided to pursue a career in music. He started off by collaborating with Arjun in his song Same Girl. Post that, he sang solo and gave hits in Punjabi songs such as "Dardan Nu" and "Southall" among others.
After establishing himself in the Punjabi music industry, he started getting offers from Bollywood. He became an overnight star with his song "Suit Suit". He again collaborated with his friend Arjun and this paved his way in Bollywood. After that, he never looked back and gave hits after hits with songs such as Ban Ja Rani, Kaun Nachdi, Proper Patola, and Morni Banke among others. After earning a name for himself in Bollywood, he collaborated with legendary international singer Pitbull in the single titled ‘Slowly Slowly’. The video garnered 38 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours of its release and became one of the most viewed music videos in 24 hours.
