Gaurav Chaudhary was hit by the idea of becoming a tech YouTuber after he stumbled upon the channel 'Sharmaji Technical.’ Owned by Prabal Sharma, the channel primarily posts tech review content in Hindi. Gaurav was intrigued by the idea of discussing technology with a Hindi-speaking audience. He collaborated with Prabal and uploaded a few videos on his channel. Those videos gave a boost to 'Sharmaji Technical,' which inspired Gaurav to launch his own YouTube channel.
However, he was not keen on making it a review-centric channel. Instead, he wanted to create informative videos, explaining the features of new technologies.
Gaurav launched his YouTube channel 'Technical Guruji' on 18 October 2015, and little did he know that it would become one of the most successful channels in India. Soon after he posted the first few videos, his channel started getting a lot of views, and the subscriptions also grew dramatically. In his 15-minute video titled 'EK GHATIYA INSAAN – TECHNICAL GJI EXPOSED FULL STORY #SHAME,' Sagar questioned Gaurav’s credibility, called him names, and accused him of not acknowledging his inspirations. Sagar was later bashed by 'Technical Guruji' fans for making such nasty remarks.

Gaurav Chaudhary was born on May 7, 1991, in India. He grew up with an elder brother and two sisters. His father owned family business of CCTV cameras and security devices. The Chaudhary family moved from Bikaner to Ajmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Gaurav completed his schooling at 'Kendriya Vidyalaya' before earning a B. Tech degree in electronics from 'Rajasthan Technical University.' He was one of the toppers of the university. He then pursued M. Tech in microelectronics from the Dubai campus of the 'Birla Institute of Technology & Science', where he was awarded a gold medal for his academic excellence. One of Gaurav Chaudhary’s sisters is a police inspector, while the other works as a teacher.
A tough time in Gaurav’s life came when his father met with an accident and went into a coma. Suddenly, all the family responsibilities fell on his shoulders, and he had to start looking after his father’s business. His technical expertise helped him understand the business better and faster. Although he learned to code when he was in the 11th grade, he is primarily fascinated by the hardware side of things.
