Bhavya Gandhi, a popular household name thanks to his character 'Tapu' in the show ' Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' quit this daily soap in February 2017. He made a Gujarati movie debut with the film 'Pappa Tamney Nahi Samjhay'. It has been an interesting journey for Bhavya post his debut in D-Town. He was much appreciated for the teenager role that he essayed in the movie opposite veteran actors  Manoj Joshi and  Ketki Dave. Another Gujarati flick he recently completed working on is 'Bau Naa Vichaar' — which stars Janki Bodiwala and Devarshi Shah. It will release in the second half of 2019. Now, Bhavya is all set to make a comeback on primetime after two years with the show 'Shaadi Ke Siyaape'. According to the reports, Bhavya will essay the character of a Gujarati alien in this comedy show. Looks like Bhavya couldn't stay away from small screen magic for long! We sure look forward to his telly stint again.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most loved and longest-running shows on Indian Television. The Sab TV sitcom is about to complete 12 successful years of running, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what new the show brings to them. All the characters are equally adored by the viewers, but discussions about TMKOC are incomplete without mentioning Tapu. The show introduced us to a mischievous bunch of kids, led by their leader Tapu. Tapu is Jethalal Gada (Dilip Joshi) and Dayaben's (Disha Vakani) son on the show. He is shown as a naughty kid, who likes to play cricket all day long, is naughty, likes to decorate the Gokuldham society on occasions, and likes to trouble Mr. Bhide with his mischiefs.

During this 12-year journey of TMKOC, the character of Tapu has been played by two actors, namely Bhavya Gandhi and Raj Andakat. When the show started back in 2008, we saw little Bhavya take on the role of Tipendra Jethalal Gada aka Tapu, and win hearts with his innocence and Masti. Bhavya as Tapu made a special place in the hearts of the viewers, and everyone started connecting with him. He became one of the most-loved actors of the TMKOC and his acting chops were applauded by many. However, after playing the character of Tapu for almost eight years, Bhavy quit the show, and bid adieu to his fans as Tapu. Yes, in 2017, Bhavya decided to move on and bid goodbye to the show, as he felt there was a stagnancy in his character. The young actor wanted to do something different and explore the world of acting.

While, there's no comparison, as each actor has its own magic onscreen, as loyal viewers of TMKOC, many have their own preferences. So we ask, Which actor suits better as Tapu, Bhavya Gandhi or Raj Anadkat? Who do you think fits in the role of Tapu better, Bhavya or Raj? Let us know in the comment section below.

The second wave of COVID 19 has hit the nation badly and a large number of people have been impacted by the virus. Among the numerous people, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Bhavya Gandhi has been impacted by it too as he lost his father due to it. His father had tested COVID 19 positive some time ago but he could not survive as the ICU beds could not be arranged in time. Talking to Spotboye, Bhavya Gandhi’s mother Yashoda shared the trouble she had to go through for the treatment of her husband in the present crisis.

She said that about a month ago her husband had got a mild fever, followed by mild chest pain. On taking the test it was found that the infection was only 5%, hence the doctors suggested home isolation with medication after consulting a specialist. But he did not get any relief after two days also. So they got his CT scan and then they realized that the infection had doubled up and they had to admit him to the hospital.

But they were not able to get to any hospital and whenever she was calling, they asked her to register in the BMC and when their number will come, they would call her. After much struggle, she finally found a bed for him in Dadar. He stayed there for 2 days and then the doctors told him that he needed an ICU, which they did not have. They asked her to shift him to another hospital. She made around 500 calls for the ICU bed, finally, a friend of hers was able to arrange a bed for her in a small hospital in Goregaon.

She added that she had to pay extra for the medicines. She said that doctor asked her to arrange a Remdesvir injection and she paid the cost of 8 injections for 6 injections. Then she arranged a Toxin injection, which got imported from Dubai by using a source for which she paid 1 lakh rupees. Then she finally shifted him to Kokilaben, where her husband stayed for 15 days and finally passed away on Tuesday. She said that she had last seen him on April 23 from a far distance as he was unconscious.

On Bhavya’s birthday, Reem took to her Instagram to share a mirror selfie with him and wished the birthday boy. The picture is absolutely adorable and we can’t take our eyes off it.

Bhavya Gandhi, most known for his role as Tappu aka Tipendra Gada in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has quit the popular daily show to make his debut in Gujarati films and venture into other possibilities.

The 20-year-old actor, who started his journey as a child artist, shared some awful news with his fans on the photo-sharing app, Instagram. He said that his Instagram account has been continuously hacked nearly seven times.

He approached the Mumbai police’s cybercrime department at BKC on Monday to report his hacked social media account. Police suspect that it could be the work of someone from his inner circle of friends.

In his complaint, Bhavya said his Instagram account has been hacked by a person with malicious intent on March 30. Bhavya, who is a commerce student at Mithibai College in Vile Parle, said the act was done by a suspect, identified only as Manav.

Confirming the complaint, Bhavya ‘s mother Yashoda told mid-day, “Bhavya has not been able to access his Instagram account for four days. He learned about it after a few of his friends found his posts on his Instagram account suspicious and informed Bhavya. The hacker is tech-savvy and has been doing this by using multiple email IDs.” She added, “The accused could be a known person. We’ll know about his motive only once he is caught. Bhavya is feeling harassed due to this incident.” The young actor tried to retrieve the account by resetting the password, but the hacker was always a step ahead. In an interview, Bhavya revealed that he conveyed his displeasure to the makers a lot many times about the way his character was being sidelined, but he failed to get any positive response. “It’s not that I left because the character didn’t have any scope. It has a lot of potentials but it wasn’t given much scope… It was ignored. I spoke to the makers a lot of times. But like you all saw, I was hardly seen in the episodes so that was pretty much the outcome of our meetings,” the actor said.

Bhavya, who was a part of the show since its inception in 2008, wants to, now, grow as an actor and he believes this was the right time to bid adieu to the popular sitcom. “I know right now I can explore myself as an actor. This is the age to grow, so, I thought I should move beyond this character. I will now be seen on the big screen and I am hopeful I will be received with love in films the way I was on the small screen.”

Bhavya has shot for his debut Gujarati film, which has been directed by Dharmesh Mehta, the man behind the first 500 episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The movie, which is about a father-son relationship, will see Bhavya play the son of veteran actor Manoj Joshi. “We have finished shooting for the film. Only a few songs are left to be shot. The film should release in May. Manoj Joshi plays my father, while Ketki Dave will be seen as my mother.”

When asked if he has quit the small screen and will only be seen in movies now, the actor said, “I will just do good work regardless of the medium. Whether it is cinema, television, or the web, I will go where I get good content. That’s my focus.”
