AYUSHMANN KHURRANA WIKI, AGE, HEIGHT, FAMILY, WIFE, BIOGRAPHY & MORE
Ayushmann Khurrana is an Indian Actor, Singer, Writer, VJ, Radio Personality, and Television Host.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Andrea Kevichusa are gearing up for the release of their upcoming political thriller film ‘Anek’ and are busy with promotions. The duo on Tuesday promoted the film in New Delhi. The film is set in North-East India and revolves around the violence and the injustice that the people of this region have to suffer. It shows an undercover cop is on a mission to restore peace in the Northeastern region of India. The film is set to hit the theatres on May 27.
Ayushmann Khurrana also shared a post on his Instagram account. He captioned it, "Promotions with the newest face of Indian cinema @andreakevichusa #Anek #27th May." The trailer of the film has already garnered the attention of the viewers as it raises a valid question: What is needed to make an Indian feel like an Indian? Talking about the film, Ayushmann Khurrana said that ‘Anek’ celebrates the spirit of truly being an Indian. He said the film’s director Anubhav worked really hard and set a new benchmark for him with his film. The actor further said that his character Joshua, who is a cop, made him do things that he had never done before in his career. "With the right guidance and training, I gave this role my best shot to bring life to everything Anubhav envisioned for the film", Khurrana added.
Speaking about striking a balance at the box office, Ayushmann said, "Dream Girl, Badhaai Ho, and Bala were light-hearted films. An Action Hero is a commercial film. You have to do commercial cinema so that cinema-like Anek and Article 15 would find support. You get courage from your commercially successful films to do films like Anek and Article 15. That balance is very important. Of course, you can’t view Anek through a commercial lens. This is not a 100-Crore film. It’s an important film."
When asked what he loves watching, Ayushmann added, "I watch all kinds of cinema. I love watching Malayalam cinema. I am a huge fan of Fahadh Faasil. His films are not commercial per se. He listens to his heart. I listen to Malayalam songs and Bengali songs. So, I think every genre of cinema is important. You need to know more about your country than knowing about world cinema. You need to know the people you are trying to connect with."
Ayushmann added that knowing the pulse of the audience by staying rooted is extremely crucial. He said, "To make successful cinema, you need to know your country better than world cinema. There’s no bigger success than being an audience as well as a creator of your art. That’s what I feel."
Asked if his love for Malayalam cinema is helping him explore opportunities down South or produce-direct a project, Ayushmann revealed he misses his music. "I want to create music. I miss my gigs and writing songs," the actor remarked.

Ayushmann Khurrana dominated the headlines today as the trailer of his much-talked film Anek was released. To note, Ayushmann will be essaying the role of an undercover cop in the film. The film’s trailer has already garnered a positive response and fans can’t wait to watch Ayushmann Khurrana on screen again. But did you know that the actor once decided to move on from films after delivering 3 back to back flop films?
A few years back, on Quickheal 'Pinch By Arbaaz Khan Season 2', Ayushmann Khurrana read and responded to the tweets that criticized his autobiography, calling him too young to write a book. Ayushmann had said, “After my first film, I had three films flopping. I packed my bag and went to Chandigarh, and I had time so I wrote a book. It was a stage where nothing was working out. I had made a band, Ayushmann Bhava. I did concerts. I thought if nothing else worked out, I would perform on birthdays, I’ll do something to entertain. You just need to make it work somehow, as an artist.” He had added that it was his personal journey, and it was alright if people didn’t like to read the book.
Ayushmann Khurrana has made it to the headlines today after the trailer of his much-awaited film Anek was released. The actor is playing an undercover cop in the film. Well, a few years back the actor starred in the movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan which worked well at the box office and amongst the fans. Today Neena Gupta shared a video on her Instagram handle to take us all on a nostalgic trip. She shared a BTS video of the entire cast of Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan enjoying a game of Antakshari.
Elaborating on the project, Ayushmann said, "The film is based in the northeast. It's about unifying the northeast with the mainland and not too many films have been made (on the region) which will talk about this. This includes actors from the northeast or their representation."
The actor wasn't shy to acknowledge the racism the people of the Northeast have faced. Calling it 'disheartening', Ayushmann said, "It's a very, very different film which Indian cinema has not witnessed in the past. We have literally ignored the Northeast of our country and the kind of racism they face in the mainland, I think it's very disheartening. People from the mainland will realize that 'kya Galat Kar Rahe hai won't."

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha said, “Anek has been my most challenging film so far. It’s based on a topic that’s probably been less spoken of in the county. It re-emphasizes the fact that in spite of being different in our cultures, traditions, and languages, India can rise above and win as a country. Despite all the challenges that came our way, whether it was shooting in difficult terrain or filming during the pandemic, we powered through. I feel a great sense of pride and triumph that we’ve accomplished everything we set out to with this film.”

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. Today, he has completed 10 years in the Hindi film industry. The actor made his film debut in 2012 with the romantic comedy Vicky Donor with Yami Gautam and later, starred in many hit Bollywood films, including Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Badhaai Ho, Article 15, Andhadhun among others. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed how his stardom has affected his relationship with his family and friends.
The actor said that after his first film, he was all over the place and it was not easy for him to digest the fame. "I think after 6-7 months I realized that you have to give time to your friends and family, though I still try my best to strike that balance it's difficult. I am glad I saw failure in the initial years of my career. After my first film, I realized my true friends were there always there with me".
It has been a decade since Ayushmann Khurrana in the film industry. Ayushmann made his debut in Bollywood with the 2012 movie Vicky Donor, directed by Shoojit Sircar, where he shared screen space with another newcomer Yami Gautam. In his career, Ayushmann has consciously made an effort to choose content-driven, offbeat, and films with social messages, or the ones that deal with taboo subjects. In fact, in his very first movie, he played the role of a sperm donor, which was quite unusual. As he clocked 10 years in the industry, we talked to the actor in an exclusive interview, and conversed on various topics, including what led him to choose Vicky Donor as his first film.
Ayushmann had rejected six films before he chose Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor as his debut movie. When we asked him what made him go for an unusual script like that as his first, the actor replied, “I think the script was beautiful. And I really believed in Shoojit Sircar. I watched his previous films. There was this film called ‘Shoebite’ which was never released with Amitabh Bachchan. I saw it in the edit it was beautiful. Also, ‘Yahaan’, another film of his got a National Award. So, I was like ‘I am incredible hands.’ This subject could go haywire if it was with some other director. But Shoojit Sircar was a pioneer. He started doing these films. My career path was set because of Vicky Donor because that was the first taboo subject I dealt with. And I carried it forward in other films. So, he set the tone right for me, and before that, all those six films never saw the light of the day.”
Ayushmann further added that he knew he had to choose the right film as there was nobody to launch him. “Because I always knew as a presenter, like somebody who's asking questions to an actor, I could learn from the mistakes of the other persons. So, I was interviewing a lot of stars who were making good choices, and bad choices. And I gauzed that the choice is very important, especially for me, (I knew) that nobody's going launch me. So, my debut film had to be good, or else I won't get another film. So that's what I thought about, so I waited and I'm glad Vicky Donor happened.”
When asked if has ever lost himself in the process, due to the varied characters he plays, Ayushmann revealed that he has the ability to detach himself. "It really depends on how you take it. I used to be a method actor when I used to do theatre. But when I became a film actor, started hosting and became more natural, instead of getting overwhelmed by the character, I used to give something to the character. I never took the character back home. I can switch on and switch off very easily. If the cameras are off, I'm myself," the actor revealed to Pinkvilla.
Taking to his Instagram space, Ayushmann, the actor dropped a picture in which he can be seen rehearsing a scene with director Shoojit Sircar on the sets of Vicky Donor. In the caption, he wrote, “Day 1. First Scene. Rehearsal shot! It’s been 10 years already?! A deluge of fond memories gushing towards me, reminding me of my days of struggle, exasperation, determination, small joys, and big successes.
