Avinash Mukherjee is a popular Television actor, model, and Entrepreneur.

It is the birthday of television’s favorite ‘Jagya’ aka Avinash Mukherjee. The actor became a household name with the show Balika Vadhu, in which he was paired opposite Avika Gor. Apart from the show, he has been a part of numerous other TV shows like Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Man Mein Hai Vishwas 2, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, and others. The young actor earned massive fame and success from these shows and hopes to get some interesting roles in the future. He also wants to establish himself in the Bollywood industry, but presently he is focusing on the television roles. On the occasion of his birthday, here are some lesser-known facts about the Sasural Simar Ka 2 actor.

Fashion statements hold an important place in our lives, courtesy of the vastly changing world where it is all about appearances. And if you are a celeb, it doubles up the pressure given the continuous media glare. Isn’t it? Be it a Bollywood A-lister or a television celebrity, maintaining a fashion statement is a necessity in the showbiz industry. Recently, Avinash Mukherjee, who became a household name with his stint in Balika Vadhu, shared his views on maintaining a fashion statement in showbiz and stated that he has an understanding of what to wear and how.

Speaking about the same, he explained, “As an actor, I feel it’s very important not to set extreme standards of fashion but maintain a desirable image. I follow that in my line of work. I am mostly a person who believes in comfort wear. I don’t usually take style advice from people but I have developed my own style over the years. I think style is also instinctive. It should be that way because that means you are ready to experiment and explore”. Avinash also emphasized that different kinds of clothes express different moods as clothes are a reflection of a person to some extent.

He added, “When I am wearing a T-shirt and jeans I feel different compared to the time I am wearing a suit, with a matching tie, cufflinks, and shoes. But then both make me feel good. The clothes we wear are a reflection of us, but that does not mean that we have the right to judge a person by what he or she is wearing. You never know what is going on inside a person or why he or she is wearing something”.

He also explained that he believes in buying quality stuff that will last for a long time rather than investing in something expensive if not required. “I feel we all should develop and nurture our signature style. There is no point in aping others. I follow what I feel is fashionable. And when I say expensive I will buy about 2-3 suits in like 4-5 years but I make sure that they are branded, custom-tailored, can be worn for different occasions, and can be mixed and matched. I don’t wear anything that makes me uncomfortable,” Avinash stated.

Talking about the work front, Avinash was last seen in Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, wherein he was seen playing the role of Soham and according to media reports, he has also been roped in for Dipika Kakar’s Sasural Simar Ka 2.

Balika Vadhu actor Avinash Mukherjee recently confirmed that he is in a relationship with Miss India Saloni Luthra. The couple has been together for quite some time now. In an interview with Times of India, Avinash revealed that before he proposed to Saloni, he made her meet his mom.

The actor said, "Before I proposed to Saloni, I took her to Amritsar, to make her meet my mother and she is one of the very few girls, whom I have introduced to my mother. My mother understood what was brewing between us and they bonded well."

The actor revealed that he proposed to Saloni at 4 am as that time is known as BrahmaMuhurta when Lord Brahma wakes up. He thought it was an auspicious time to propose to her. Avinash Mukherjee revealed that when he proposed to her, Saloni immediately said yes to him.'

About his love story, Avinash revealed that he had sent her a message on Instagram as he wanted her to write content for his company. They knew each other since college and he knew that Saloni is a good writer. That's how love blossomed between the two of them.

Balika Vadhu actor Avinash Mukherjee seems to have found love in Miss India Saloni Luthra, and well, he is definitely leading a happy life. Their love story had one of the most millennial starts as Avinash messaged her for work, and well, when Saloni suggested him someone else, he said he wanted to get it done by her only, and well, that's about that. Both their parents seem to be in agreement with the relationship as Avinash revealed how she has met his mother, something that even she knows is rare of him while Saloni's parents let him go on a solo trip with him and that's the kind of confidence they have.

Saloni never knew anything about Balika Vadhu and Jagya, and Avinash reveals how he was dumbfounded and said how he expected her to know something about his work at least. Avinash also revealed how his proposal was at 4 am in the night/morning as that time is known as BrahmaMuhurta, when Lord Brahma wakes up and so he felt it was auspicious and it was an instant yes from her and well, things worked out for him.

Talking about how it is one's own responsibility to make relationships work, the actor says it is important to sustain every couple right from knowing things about each other's needs and it is also about growing together. Appreciating each other, Saloni said how she loved Avinash being an old-school romantic while he loves Saloni's eyes.

It’s a blast from the past for actor Avinash Mukherjee, who is reliving his childhood days by watching the re-run of his TV show Balika Vadhu amid the ongoing lockdown in the country. The show that went on air for eight years made him a household name for his character, young Jagya. Calling it a very “surreal feeling” to see himself back on screen as a child actor, Mukherjee, now 22, says, “Balika Vadhu was an acting school for me and I used to be very seeking to learn new things every day.”

Behind the scene, he, and his then co-star Avika Gor, used to spend a lot of time talking to the senior actors and crew members to understand how things work.

“Even Anup Ji (actor, Anup Soni) used to teach us how not to fumble while speaking and Neha Marda used to teach us about personality development - how to walk, how to carry yourself in public, and much more. Once the shoot was over, instead of going to the vanity van, we would sit with the cameraman, make-up dada, and technicians and ask a lot of questions,” he recounts.

Avinash Mukherjee’s an established actor on the tube but not many know that he is a writer as well. Recently, he debuted as a writer with the Esha Deol-Starrer short, Ek Dua. Mukherjee reveals that he not only wants to write more stories but also direct a feature film someday.

He shares he is overwhelmed with the response to the short and shares that the film happened organically. “I was discussing the story idea with my friend- director Ram Kamal Mukherjee as I wanted to make something on the subject and he instantly agreed to direct. Things rolled on and soon, Esha Deol came on board,” recalls the Balika Vadhu actor, who says he is taking baby steps in writing and right now, isn’t planning to pursue it full time.

“It’s a new thing for me and I enjoyed it. It was for the love of cinema. I feel, an actor should be an all-rounder and should have a basic understanding of what goes behind making a film. Just like a director knows everything from acting, lighting to camera angle, etc., similarly, an actor should also know a bit of storytelling, character arcs, camera angle, producing and marketing,” he adds.

Mukherjee admits that he has written quite a few short films and wants to direct them. Citing examples of legendary film personalities like Guru Dutt and Raj Kapoor, he says, for him, it is all about narrating a story. “It’s basically not about writing, acting, or direction. It’s about telling a beautiful story to your audiences. In Ek Dua, I did not have any part to play as an actor as the story did not demand it. In the future when I make films, I would love to direct and act in one of my scripts,” he concludes.

Avinash has no fixed schedule as to how many videos he would post in a day, week, month, or how many times. He mostly makes videos whenever he finds something interesting and gets time.

“I post mostly on Sundays because fans of Sasural Simar Ka 2 keep telling me that today. We have nothing to watch and nothing to look forward to. So, I give them something to enjoy during the weekends. But, honestly, there’s no fixed schedule or time,” shares the actor.

Having a YouTube channel is a nice way to communicate with fans. “I like YouTube, which is an audio-visual format. Whenever I browse the space to consume content, I enjoy doing that a lot because you learn as well as get entertained here. Like on Instagram and other social media, it’s just scrolling and browsing, but YouTube has everything. You can look up whatever interests you and it is there,” he explains.

In final words on his channel, Avinash says, “I would request people to watch my videos, subscribe and share feedback so that I know what more can be done. The action and Shaadi BTS are nice, many have liked them. If you like behind-the-scenes, tell me that too, and I would create content accordingly. Also, if you love Sasural Simar Ka 2, do watch my channel too for more. If you are not watching the show by watching the channel, trust me you will feel excited to watch the show.”
