Anirudh Ravichander forms a very early age developed an interest in music and was also involved with a band named Zinx. He obtained his graduate degree from the famous Loyola College in Chennai and there he along with 5 more members formed a band named The Circuit. To hone his music skills, he enrolled at the decorated Trinity College of Music, London.
He has already won numerous awards to his credit and is a professional drummer and a good keyboard player as well. He also took lessons in Carnatic music and along with his participated in a singing reality show whose judge was legendary AR Rahman. He was felicitated with the best instrumentalist award and received this award from the hands of A R Rahman whom he idolized since childhood. He himself described this moment as career-changing and the most memorable moment of his life.
Since he was a nephew of Latha Rajnikanth, he easily got the work and started off by composing music for her films. He rose to prominence with his second album titled Dhanush’s Sachin Anthem. His song Why This Kolaveri Di went viral and the fusion of English and Tamil was well received by the audience all across. He is now a consistent figure as a composer and has 5 upcoming projects in his hands. His popularity soared after his video of kissing singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah went viral.
