Suniel Shetty’s son  Ahan Shetty. has been open about his relationship with  Tania Shroff. While the couple has been dating for quite some time now, a few days back, speculative reports suggested that Ahan is all set to tie the knot with his childhood sweetheart Tania. While the actor's spokesperson quickly rubbished all such claims, now Ahan has opened up about the same during an interview.
Asserting that there’s no truth to the wedding rumours, he told Hindustan Times that currently, his focus is on his career as he is working on his second film now. The actor who claims to not hide anything said that he will share updates about his personal life if he feels like it.

The ‘Tadap’ actor also revealed that he is not bothered about the rumours because it’s him who made his personal life public. “I don’t hide anything from anyone; I’ve been very honest. Having said that, sometimes, it’s not fair that such articles come out, but you can’t really control that” he added.

When asked if the rumours have affected his relationship with Tania, he said that the two share great communication and understand each other. According to him, if a third person says something that affects them, then it will simply question their bonding, which they have never done.

Ahan and Tania have been seeing each other for a long time now. From their social media PDAs to outings with each other's families, the two are simply inseparable. Tania also made headlines when she joined the Shetty family and attended the special screening of Ahan’s debut film, ‘Tadap’ co-starring Tara Sutaria.

Exactly 8 weeks after its theatrical release, Ahan Shetty’s debut, Tadap, premiered in the digital world. The actor believes that the OTT premiere has just enhanced the reach of his film. “We got to communicate with a larger section of the audience. The reach has just multiplied,” he informs. After Tiger Shroff, it was Ahan who got a massive launch from producer Sajid Nadiadwala. He also joined the likes of Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra to get a big-ticket launch in the industry.

What are the pressures like to live up to the expectations? “I didn’t take any pressure. Varun, Tiger, and Sidharth are at a certain level now and I look up to them. They have such fantastic careers, and I can’t even compare myself with them. I just want to live my own life and give my 100 per cent,” he answers. Ask Alan if he wants to be known as a star or an actor and he keeps it short, “I definitely want to be known as a star, but also a good actor. Why can’t I be both? The three names we spoke off have had a fantastic career so far and I hope I can be in a space similar to them.”

Ahan states that though he made a debut with an intense romantic film, he is open to exploring all genres. "I am trying to explore all genres and am open to doing a wide variety of roles. We will be announcing my second film soon,” he keeps it short, adding further, “I want to do a comedy film as well as a rom-com.”

So, what next for Ahan after Tadap? “There are films in the pipeline and will be announced soon. I do have a four-film deal with Sajid Nadiadwala and I am very excited for another collaboration with him soon. We have been very excited about our next film,” he concludes.

Ahan Shetty has never shied away from expressing his feelings for ladylove Tania Shroff. Suniel and Mana Shetty's son, Ahan, is in a relationship with Tania, daughter of industrialist Jaidev and Roomila Shroff, for some time now. To wish her on her birthday, he didn't visit her in person as he is practicing self-isolation owing to the fast-spreading coronavirus across the globe. However, he did send her a bunch of balloons. He also took to his Instagram and shared some pictures from their past vacations to wish her. It's such a heart-warming gesture. Here's one from their trip while they were soaking in the sun and some vitamin-sea.

Ahan Shetty has said that he did not grow up around star kids in Bollywood and has befriended many of them only recently. However, he added that he has known Aryan Khan since childhood, and was inspired by Tiger Shroff.

Ahan Shetty has said that he did not know many star kids while growing up, however, he has known Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son Aryan Khan since they were kids. In his new interview, Ahan has also said that he started making friends in the industry only recently. Ahan is Suniel Shetty’s son and is gearing up for the release of his first film, Tadap.

Asked to name his friends from the industry, Ahan Shetty told Siddharth Kannan in an interview, “Even though dad is in the industry, we never really grew up in this environment. Also, we lived in South Bombay, I was in the American School of Bombay. Dad also has a lot of friends and gets immense respect from them. But we were never like a Bollywood family.”

He also said, “I think only recently, I have made a few friends, you know,  Ranbir Kapoor, Shoojit Sircar, Bunty Ahluwalia, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, all of them. But I have also known Aryan Khan since I was a kid. I was in the American School of Bombay, he was in the Ambani School. We used to meet on the field outside.” He added that Aryan is a good footballer.

Ahan also said that he went to the same school as Tiger Shroff. “I was in the same school as Tiger and I used to see him perform and he was always an inspiration. Now, getting into the industry, he has set the bar quite high in the industry in both action and dance. I really look up to him.”

In what seems to be a dream debut,  Suniel Shetty's son  Ahan Shetty is all set to make his Bollywood debut in a film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The filmmaker confirmed that Ahan will star in a remake of the Telugu hit ‘RX 100’. There were several rumors in recent months, which speculated when Shetty Jr would make his big-screen debut. Putting all rumors to rest, Sajid has confirmed that he has acquired the remake rights of ‘RX 100’ and will launch Ahan in it. Tentatively slated to release in May 2019, Sajid said they chose this particular drama since it had become hugely popular among youngsters. A surprise hit, this Telugu film is about a young couple and how their relationship takes an unexpected turn when their families find out about them. Coincidentally, years ago Sajid’s film  ' Waqt Hamara Hai ‘’ was supposed to be Suniel Shetty’s debut film but another film — 'Balwaan' hit the screens first by a couple of months. So, while Sajid launched Suniel all those years ago, he will now launch his son as well albeit on a much grander scale. Rumors suggest that Sajid has roped in Milan Luthria to direct the film but Sajid says that his team is still in talks with a number of directors but is yet to finalize anyone. It is also not known who will star opposite Ahan in the film.

While most of Luthria’s films so far have featured male protagonists in extremely macho conflicts (Luthria’s debut film Kachche Dhaage pitched stepbrothers Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan against each other while his last release Baadshaho had Devgn against Emraan Hashmi) Tadap is Luthria’s first film about the conflicts of love. A source close to the project reveals, “Ahan is being launched by the same producer Sajid Nadiadwala who launched Ahan’s father Suniel Shetty. But whereas Suniel’s launch, Waqt Hamara Hai was an out-and-out action film, Tadap is a very emotional film.

Sources close to producer Sajid Nadiadwala say Shetty Jr in his first film is far more assured and confident on-screen than his father was in his debut film.

Suniel reacts, “Every father wants his child to be better than him. If Ahan is better than me then I am at the moment the proudest father in the universe. He is a very hardworking sincere boy. I was never so focused on my career at his age.”

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty, who made his film debut with the action drama ‘Tadap’ alongside Tara Sutaria, recently revealed he walked out of one of his father’s movies.

In an interview, Ahan said that he once walked out of ‘Main Hoon Naa. The 2004 film directed by Farah Khan, featured Suniel Shetty as the villain opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film also starred Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, and Amrita Rao.

Ahan said that he was quite young and looked at his father differently after the film. However, he mentioned that his dad’s performance was brilliant. Interestingly, Suniel was not Farah's first choice. The choreographer-turned-filmmaker had reportedly approached acclaimed actors from Indian cinema such as Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar, and Kamal Haasan to play the part.

‘Tadap’ had a great run at the box office. Presented by Fox Star Studios, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, co-produced by Fox Star Studios, and directed by Milan Luthria, it was released on December 3.

Ahan Shetty was in Class 6 when he decided that acting was what he wanted to do. The reason for the choice was not the name of his father, Ahaan is actor Suniel Shetty’s son, but the fact that he was an introvert.  Ahan Shetty says, “I was in American School of Bombay, I chose dramatics in 6th grade and fell in love with the art form. I am a very shy and introverted person, so when it came down to performing, I realized that everything I am hiding within myself, I am letting out through my characters. That was a very therapeutic experience for me. As I kept performing, I started loving playing different characters, and different people from different walks of life. That’s when I realized that this is something I wanted to do.”

Ahan stands out for the way he handled all the pressure both before and after its release. He told The Free Press Journal, “There was the pressure of being Suniel Shetty’s son and being launched by Sajid Nadiadwala after Tiger Shroff. But it was important to block all the outside noise and not let that affect you."

He added, "You should not let people tell you various things and lose track of yourself and the journey. You should not see who your competition is and let people tell you that you should be doing this and that because the other person is doing so. I just want to concentrate on my journey and do well. Let everyone else also do well. I just listened to everyone close to me and my support system."

And what role did his father play in the choice? “There was a slight influence of my dad being an actor. But no one in my school cared who my father was, and that was really good for me,” he says.

It is but natural that a Starkid will be compared to their famous parent. Does that put pressure on Ahaan? “I try not to let that pressure get to me. I am very proud to be my father’s son, but his journey was different and my journey is going to be different. I am just very happy that I can carry his legacy forward. Other than that I don’t feel any pressure. Ya, I am going to be compared to him, but you just can’t let that get to you.”

Suniel had his share of struggles when he started his career. The actor seems to have concentrated his entire experience for his son in one line. The young actor says, “Not really, he never brought work home. So, if there were things going on outside, he would never really come home and talk about it. Up until recently, we never really talked about work at home. He has never told me stories about his struggles. But, he always says that ‘don’t fear that one Friday’. Because that one Friday’ might not work, but I have to learn from the mistakes I made and work harder for my next.”

There are three actors in the Shetty family — Suniel, his daughter Athiya and now his son Ahaan. Athiya recently made her relationship with Indian cricketer  KL Rahul official on social media. So if they don’t talk about work, what are their family conversations like? Ahan says, “Cricket! Sports, what’s going on in each other’s personal lives, and we are all fitness freaks. Athiya and my dad are very very close, I and my mom are very close, I need to see her every morning. We all talk about work and working out.”
